We revisited Red Bull’s biggest musical moments of 2016.
Red Bull has been committed to fostering creativity in music for quite some time. At the end of each year, they look back at the defining moments through an exclusive content campaign, sending fans off with a batch of brand new videos, songs and more.
For this year’s edition, we created the campaign strategy with a focus on moving images and multi-channel distribution – all tied together by stunning 3D visuals.

We teamed up with Berlin-based design and animation studio C A T K whose work we’ve admired for a long time. The idea was to capture the beauty of the 20 biggest moments from Red Bull’s year in music through abstract visual representations. It doesn’t matter what exactly happened – it’s about the emotion it left you with.
While content was optimised for various contexts and distributed across all relevant platforms, everything came together on a microsite. Think: a digital yearbook, full of never-seen-before interviews, music videos, interactive explainer pieces, and brand new songs.
